This week, Frobeck  unveiled an amazing music video for their song, Lemonade, that is sure to satisfy the thirst for musical refreshment and  become a true Frobeck classic.

“It was a great time and definitely a fun experience,” exclaims lead singer and the song’s cowriter, Spencer Burrows.” It’s a trip to be able to breathe life into the imagery of what’s in your head when you write a song. I think people will surely dig it, but,  most of all, I think they’ll feel more connected to us and the music that is such a huge part of who we are.”

Lemonade was one of the first songs ever written in 2006 by the now prolific songwriting duo of Burrows and Dilbeck.  The song originally appeared on their now out of print album, ” Over and Beyond,” in 2007 and was later chosen to be on their most recent release, ” Secret Stash.”
“Lemonade is a song that speaks to all of us, ” added Dilbeck. ” It’s such a universal and timeless concept, and one that if we all subscribe to it, our world would be a far better place.  There is always good in even the worst situations….you just have to add the right ingredients and turn it into something wonderful.”

In the case of Frobeck, the Song was organically squeezed out of  a life changing time for guitarist, Kris Dilbeck and his family.  In an effort to comfort and make the best of a very sad and tough time, Burrows, inspired by the uplifting spirits of the Dilbeck clan, set out to craft lyrics that would hopefully inspire and help others who may be also going through tough times.
“These are the times to remember the lemonade stand.  When we were just kids handed lemons and told, ‘ do what you can’. ” – Burrows’ song lyrics.

The video was Directed and edited by the up and coming superstar,  Jackson Rosenfeld, and shot by his die hard crew of  all-stars: Mario Bosanac (assistant director and director of photography), Neil Anderson (lighting design), Mari Villegas (Makeup design), with Technical Assistance by Austin Smagalski, James Helmer, and Norah Burrows.  ”It was my pleasure, directing, creating, and editing this project.” Jackson said, “This music video was a labor of love. It was great to have such amazing talent.”  The lead actors were the very wonderful,  Pippin Jardine, Sarah Passemar, Christopher Wright.  The video was also blessed with wonderful support acting by Justin Leonard, the Frobeck band, as well as  a fabulous bunch of over qualified and underpaid extras.

” Everyone was so very great to work with,” said Burrows, “and Jackson Really captured the essence of the piece.”

We’re proud to announce the unveiling of our new website!  http://www.frobeck.com is now live for the all world to behold!

Inside, you’ll find information, images, and videos about the band.  We’ll be posting images and clips from our live shows as well, so look out for updates coming your way.

Speaking of shows, we’ll be adding some upcoming shows to our website calendar shortly.  We’re just glad that we’ll be able to trumpet our gig at NAMM next week to the masses from our very own, personal website.

For your convenience, this site is mega-interconnected with the interwebs.  If you’re following us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or the myriad other social networking sites that receive our website updates, you’ll stay well informed of our exploits.  We spent a lot of time doing all the hard work to get the word out about Frobeck in the easiest way possible for You.

We’d like to publicly thank, sing praises of, and give many kudos to Jackson Rosenfeld for his work on this project.  Without him, we’d probably still be sitting and thinking about how nice it would be to have a new website.  What you see is largely a product of his hard work and initiative so thanks again, Jackson!

Now, our baritone saxophone player and in-house nerd is just dying to explain all of technical marvels that lie within this site (like the social networking integration, the custom re-implementation of the Yahoo! Media Player, or the custom WordPress plugin he wrote for feed integration with ArtistData, for example…).  But in the interests of everybody’s sanity, including our baritone saxophone player’s, we’re going to deny him the pleasure.  Maybe he’ll write his own special blog on the subject if all y’all are really interested… later.
